For our October meeting we have guest speaker Sherida Giddings from Ottawa. Sherida Giddings has been a quilter for over 25 years but foundation paper piecing has always been her preferred way to piece tops together. After her early retirement from her regular job in Ottawa, she took on the challenge to become a Quiltworx Certified Instructor and has not looked back.
This has opened up the opportunity to teach in multiple provinces in Canada as well as two quilting cruises.
While she has won ribbons for several of her quilts, the ultimate joy is seeing her students complete their quilts and go on to win ribbons!
Guests are welcome to attend at a cost of $5. Lions Gate Banquet Hall, 386 Blake Street, Barrie. Meeting starts at 7 pm, Thursday the 19th of October.
